Primer Piso. Ramas Nuevas

Al dar los primeros pasos por las escaleras principales, se revela la doble altura del primer piso. Enormes candelabros se suspenden por el vestíbulo, mientras que la luz del exterior al atravesar los vitrales del pasillo principal, contrastan los tonos cálidos de sus tapices. El mobiliario y una vieja consola de bulbos transportan a otra época. Ha iniciado el viaje. 

Respondiendo al orden genealógico, las habitaciones aluden a las primeras generaciones nacidas en México. El inicio de una hibridación cultural entre apellidos extranjeros que ahora ha crecido dentro del país. Culturas que comienzan a enlazarse: Jerome, Benito, Mercedes, Albine, Carmelita, María Pilar, Eustache, Thais, Betito, Guadalupe. Del árbol trasplantado, han nacido ramas nuevas. Entre mobiliario vintage, ahora comienzan a percibirse piezas contemporáneas, son el hilo conductor entre ambas generaciones.

First Floor: New Branches

(QR4 VESTIBULE FIRST FLOOR)

Taking the first steps up the main stairs, the double height of the second floor is revealed. Huge chandeliers hang in the foyer, while the light from outside filtering through the stained glass windows of the main hallway contrasts with the warm tones of the tapestries. The furniture and an antique console transport you to another era. The journey has begun.   

In keeping with the genealogical order, the rooms allude to the first generations born in Mexico, the beginning of a cultural hybridization of foreign surnames that has now grown within the country. Cultures begin to intertwine: Jerome, Benito, Mercedes, Albine, Carmelita, María Pilar, Eustache, Thais, Betito, Guadalupe. From the transplanted tree, new branches have been born. Among the vintage furniture, we now begin to spot contemporary pieces, a common thread between both generations.
